Feal Suspension is our favorite brand in drifting, racing , drag racing and street applications for shock absorbers.
A small family owned company that dominates drifting.. Sounds unbelievable? It actually makes a lot of sense. Drifting is still a niche motorsport, so regarding shocks, you need a niche solution. But you want quick support, decent pricing and good advice for setup.. Which is exactly why Feal beats the big brands. Based in California and Europe, Feal can supply all drift , race and roadcar chassis quickly, both for new sales and for crash repairs or modifications.
Feal coilovers come in various versions :
441 single adjustable. Up to 25% more travel than other brands. The simple solution, one knob adjusts rebound and compression. Perfect for grassroots, but also Pro Am and even Pro drivers still rely on 441's. Tested in many countries and applications, including 66.000 km cross America , doing 4,000 laps on six Drift Weeks. On the same set of shocks, in extreme Florida heat and cold New York snow, cross country three times with 500lbs of wheels and tools in the car. Still in great shape. You can upgrade the 441's with Japanese swift springs, a no-brainer on chassis with short springs such as Corvettes, to give you a little more travel. The Swift springs have thinner coils so you'll gain 5-10% more travel. The original Feal springs work great too ofcourse. All parts available as spares too.
441 also has Long Stroke and Heavy versions for most chassis. Inquire with our staff to find out which you need.
441.5 two & one way adjustable. Dubbed "Podium Spec" , this is a popular shock for drivers operating on a budget but still allows you to bring the heat against the big teams. 441 front shocks combined with 442 rears, allowing you to adjust rebound and compression separately in the rear. This gives you many advantages, especially if you drive on various levels of surface grip. These kits are an important tool to restore balance to chassis that are either sidebite or forward bite prone, like the BMW E9x, Supra A9x, or the opposite, the Corvette C5 and C6. These cars are less balanced as pro cars, due to their roadcar design choices. Having two way adjustables allows you to compensate the forward or side bite to even the balance of the car. 441.5 always comes with Japanese Swift Springs.
442 two way adjustable. This is the most used pro shock, allowing you to adjust all four shocks' rebound and compression independently. This is very handy to open up or shorten the curve characteristics of the car, if you feel like the corners are too close or too far apart for your setup, simply adjust and make the front end bite more or less, without changing body roll or feedback. You'll need decent advice to set these up, luckily our staff of 5 has a combined experience of over 90 years to help you. 442 always comes with Japanese Swift Springs
443 three way adjustable. This top of the line shock also allows you to adjust high- and low speed compression separately on top of all 442 advantages. The choice for the road racer or pro drifter that knows what top-of-the-line shocks are worth in a program, but doesn't want to overpay for marketing. Contact us today and experience our service level and Feal's knowledge of racing, drifting, Auto-X and drag racing setups.
Odi Bakchis owns Feal Suspension and is a regular podium finisher in the American Formula Drift championship, as a privateer invading the top of the ranking that consists of factory backed teams. Many teams run Feal aswell, in fact some teams have switched brands after a big sponsorship deal, but then went back to Feal due to the difference in products. We believe it's better to pay for something great, than get something that's mid for free.
Shocks are one of the most important tools in drifting, not only for powerful pro cars but especially for entry level , grassroots and pro-am cars. The shock controls the wheel, the body of the vehicle and communicates with the driver aswell. These three factors determine everything : if you can't control the wheel, you lose grip. No sense in running the big turbo if the wheels can't put it on the ground. Controlling the body movements of the car is how you score with the judges and make things look smooth : erratic and waivering movements are big point deductions in any competition. Lastly, even the best driver needs to feel what the car is doing. You can generate all the grip, but if you cannot sense the limits of the car, the tire or the track, it's pointless.
These are some of the elements that we work with to ensure your car does exactly what you want. And for that, Feal and Einzel have your back. But don't trust us, ask our many clients in Europe , America, the Middle East and even countries like The Philippines , Aruba and Australia. Once you make the switch, you'll never want another shock again.
