One could write a book about Quick Change differentials. Especially post-covid, a lot of stuff goes on behind the scenes..
We have been retailing QC's for over a decade. This is not an easy component to produce, although it seems simple. This is why we see many copycats arise, that somehow cannot offer their product any cheaper than the real deal.
The exterior all appears the same, because companies adhere to the fitment of the differential in existing QC subframes. However, the inside counts.
The company we trust is DMI , out of Lancaster Pennsylvania, USA. When we visit the factory, it's clear to see why. A large facility where 95% of the people are making a product. Old fashioned American quality using the newest equipment. Twin spindle/ twin turret mills that are still rare today. We like to look our suppliers in the eye and see what they produce first-hand. In the drivetrain industry, a lot of outsourcing happens to asian countries. This brings question marks, because you never really know what you get.
We don't like question marks, especially when they cost a thousands of dollars. We want certainties.
And that's what you get with DMI. We don't just sell you some thicker 35 spline stubs and a bigger lower shaft, we have all components upgraded to the highest spec.
DMI units have been in use for decades, and we have a tight relationship with the factory. We provide retail, wholesale and product development.
Three versions on offer, all in our own Einzel spec available to you :
< 1000 hp. This unit runs 35 spline thick stubs and upgraded internals. This runs the 1000hp lower shaft, which has never been broken by any client.
>1500 hp. This unit also has the 35 splines, but has the 'unobtanium' lower shaft.
1000/1500hp LSD . Either unit is also available with OS Giken limited slip differential
